7. Objective of the Programme : The talk aim to create awareness , promote critical thinking and facilitate discussions around Gender equality , Gender equity and Gender discrimination through the study of Hindi Short stories.

Detailed description of the event : By organizing the talk , we delve in the Gender Discourse depicted in Hindi Short stories focusing on the themes of Gender equality, Gender equity and Gender discrimination. The aim of the talk was to analyse the portrayal of gender dynamics in Hindi literature and shed light on the challenges and progress made in promoting gender inclusivity.

Outcome of the event/Evaluation by programme Coordinator : Hindi Short stories provide a rich canvas for exploring the complexities of Gender Discourse including the themes of Gender Equality , Gender Equity and Gender Discrimination. These narratives have the potential to challenge societal norms , raise awareness and foster a more inclusive and equitable society . By critically analysing the gender dynamics portraying in Hindi literature , we can contribute to ongoing discussions on Gender issues and work towards a more just and equal world for all genders.

Feedback from students, faculty and other stakeholders : Students discussed Hindi Short stories portraying female characters who strive for financial independence and break free from traditional dependency on male counterparts. They expressed their views on Short stories which raise questions about Gender equity in sharing the domestic responsibilities and decision – making. They also highlighted the Short stories which depicts the need for reform and challenge regressive norms that perpetuate Gender discrimination.
