7. Objective of the Programme : The potential objectives for the talk are to raise awareness about the significance of Professional Ethics , highlight the ethical principles and to explore ethical dilemmas thereby promoting ethical decision – making.
8. Detailed description of the event : Professional Ethics forms the foundation of a reputable and effective educational institution. The vital aspects of Professional Ethics focusing on the ethics of teachers, ethics of students and the ethical dilemmas that may arise in educational settings were discussed and explored in this talk thereby aiming to underscore the significance of upholding ethical standards for both educators and learners alike. In the realm of education , ethical dilemmas can arise which requires careful consideration and decision – making. A Group Discussion was conducted to explore the topic in detail and students enthusiastically expressed their views on conflicting value or moral principles.

Outcome of the event/Evaluation by programme Coordinator : Professional Ethics serves as the backbone of the education system guiding both the teachers and students towards integrity , responsibility and respect . Upholding ethical standards in education creates an environment conducive to learning , personal growth and the development of responsible individuals. By recognising the importance of ethics in the classroom , we can nurture a society that values integrity and ethical behaviour in all aspects of life.

11. Feedback from students, faculty and other stakeholders : Students expressed the view that ethical conduct among teachers is essential to provide a safe and conclusive learning environment. Trust is the foundation of a teacher – student relationship and therefore teachers must uphold the privacy and confidentiality of students. Teachers should treat all students equitably without favouritism or bias. They also expressed that encouraging ethical behaviour among students helps to foster personal growth and prepares them for a responsible citizenship.
