Established in 1944, the Department of Hindi at Union Christian College, Aluva is functioning as an Additional Language Department. The Department takes pride to have grown as a reputable facilitator known for its dedication in teaching Hindi Language and Literature.

The Department boasts a rich history, with notable figures such as Prof. N.E.Viswanatha Iyer and Dr.N.Raman Nair, savants of Hindi Literature from South India, having been associated with it. Their presence has added to the Department's prestige and contributed significantly to its academic excellence.
